Reflection

Visiting Changsha offered a peaceful yet lively glimpse into Hunan's heart. One of the most memorable spots was Orange Island (Juzizhou), a long, narrow strip nestled in the middle of the Xiang River. At the center, the towering statue of young Mao Zedong stood with quiet strength, facing the river and hills beyond.

Equally unforgettable was a stroll through Chaozong Street (Chao Zong Jie), one of Changsha's oldest yet trendiest areas. While the street preserves its traditional charm with old architecture and red lanterns, it's now filled with stylish cafés, boutique shops, and popular local brands that attract young crowds. Together, Orange Island and Chao Zong Jie captured the essence of Changsha—a city where the past and present coexist effortlessly.
